Types of statues
Seated Statue
Seated statues are the simplest statues that I produce.
They are ideal for a small, quaint home shrine. Since they are mostly uniform in their shape, they are the safest to create, fire and ship.
Note: this statue is not Kemetic, but it is a good example of a seated statue
Standing Statue
Standing statues are typical for Female deities wearing long dresses, or Mummiform gods such as Ptah, Khonsu, Banebdjedet, Osiris, Sokar, Min, etc. These statues require more material, but less time to create a striding statue. The possibility of breakage either during the firing process or while on the way to the customer is minimal because of their solid, block-like nature. They embody "Djed" or the firm, unchanging form of eternity and I can attest to that.
Enthroned Statue
The crown Jewel of Egyptian Statuary (in my humble opinion). They are gracefully seated on a comfortable throne. They are looking at the viewer with a kingly sternness, demanding prostration, right at their exposed feet. These statues are the most intense and beautiful of all the types I offer, since they require a big amount of material, labor and detailing.
Block Statue
(fetal mummiform)
Block statues are in size almost the same as small seated statues, but with a key difference. Mummiform Statues may seem like a simplified seated statue, but their body is arguably more complex, since the idea is to create the illusion of a naked body wrapped in a tight linen cloth.
Striding Statue
Striding statues are the most desired type of statue. With the left foot stepping forward and the left hand firmly gripping a sceptre of sorts, they scream "I am alive!" right at the viewer.
These statues usually show a bit more skin and reveal the classical V-shape physique in men and the broad-shouldered, bear-breasted, hourglass shape in women.
Special Commissions
Usually reserved for highly syncretised and poorly documented deities. These types of statues exceed all parameters in size, form and complexity. They tend to consist of elements from different existing figures and require a huge amount of experimentation.
Unlike other statues, they require various materials and techniques. Every detail is meticulously sketched and approved by the customer and their god.
Miscellaneous
Terracotta pottery and Amulets
I don't concentrate solely on big projects, I also take up smaller items like pottery and cult objects. If you are interested in specific objects such as lamps, censers, canopic jars, amulets, miniature figurines, and fetishes.
Digital Art
In addition to making real-life 3-D art, I also produce Digital representations of your gods fit for printing and portable or digital shrines.
