Khnum is an ancient Egyptian deity with a unique and significant role in Egyptian mythology. He is typically depicted with the head of a ram, symbolizing his association with fertility, creation, and the annual flooding of the Nile River.

One of Khnum's primary roles was as a creator god and even the father of the sun god. He was believed to mold the bodies of humans and gods on his potter's wheel using clay from the banks of the Nile. This association with creation led to him being revered as a divine craftsman and the creator of life.
